 Chichibu releases are infrequent and highly coveted. Established in 2004, this distillery commenced distillation in 2008, marking Japan’s first new whisky distillery since 1973. This exclusive edition comprises just 1,833 bottles, exclusively crafted for Le Maison du Whisky in Paris. It consists of two distinct batches: five barrels from 2013, matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon, virgin oak, and a Port pipe; and three barrels distilled in 2014, including a red wine cask and two quarter casks.
