Our latest release, The Macallan Rare Cask, 2023 Release, boasts a collaboration with renowned musician, Charlie Burchill of Simple Minds. Embarking on an exquisite journey, we explored the intricacies of the sensory world, discovering the striking parallels between sound, aroma, flavour, and colour, all intertwined through the shared element of wood.
Charlie’s remarkable talent in identifying rare tasting notes, such as raisin, resonates beautifully with his ability to compose and play music. Together, they crafted a guitar from the same wood that The Macallan employs in our Exceptional Oak Casks. Through his artistry, Charlie brings to life the incredible journey of Rare Cask, evoking the rich and profound notes of this rare single malt.
